Absolutely wonderful work. It seems to be quite rare to see sign language used in art but i guess that using signs is art itself. Very beautiful.

For those who wonder about t's and all that, there is no one universal sign language but hundreds of them so not all signs are same. T is correct in Finnish though. :D

haha exactly. i found the stock photos from sxc.hu (a couple years ago) and it was supposed to be in english but no idea which one but maybe australian or british or i don't know. either way what matters is the message itself in the work. thank you for your comment ^^

That's true. It is a bold reminder no matter what.
It's funny that I found this one shortly after there was a UN event called silent shout, a flash mob where everyone had chance to be a part of live rap chorus signing against discrimination and for the human rights with deaf rapper Signmark. Can't wait to see the final version of that music video. People did really good job singing with their hands!

thanks.. watched both youtube & the short video.. interesting really.
this whole idea reminded me of a scene from babel, the deaf japanese girl in the night club, who couldn't hear the music but feel it.

No problem.
He does the same thing. He feels bass so that he can keep up with the rhythm but he also makes lyrics himself and this year he got contract with warner music.
"A deaf man paints lyrics in the air by waving his hands.
Damn, what's next, right? Movies for blind?"
Dreams can come true.
